Textbookhoops has improved the three point shooting percentage of many high school, college, and professional, men and women.

Textbook shooting form is simple and repeatable. It emphasizes smaller muscles and joints, and shorter and straighter movements that make it more consistent and repeatable under pressure. We've catalogued the vital elements to shooting form and find that our clients do most of them properly. However, there are always technique issues that can be improved. This is evident by the three point shooting percentage. The numbers don't lie.

They may have been a decent three point shooter at some point in their career. Unfortunately, when they step up to the next level and the defenders are bigger and quicker, and the coaching schemes are better, the percentage goes down and the technique flaws are magnified.

* A TextbookHoops training session is not a cardio workout. You won’t need to bring water and a sweat towel. Taking detailed mental notes or even putting pen to paper would be more appropriate. It is a class on shooting technique. * The one hour individual training sessions isolate technique flaws and begin the process to correct the most critical of them with exaggerated muscle memory retraining. It can be an awkward battle against bad muscle memory that leads to exciting breakthroughs on a path to a higher three point percentage. * The shooter is given a set of cues and instruction to take with them. The speed of improvement is dictated somewhat by the diligence of the shooter to continue the adjustments on their own.
